I met Anu from Flour Shop while working together at Staple Bread & Necessities in 2019. Flour Shop opened three months after Burnt Honey and we had a surprising amount of customer overlap, so they always felt like a sister bakery to us. Anu and I are thick as thieves these days.

After Burnt Honey changed hands in early 2026 Anu and I were catching up and decided to do a pop-up together featuring one of my all time favourite treats - the humble ice-cream sandwich. Four delicious flavours, three freezers loaned from generous friends and an endlessly adaptable recipe for semifreddo, and we were off.
